Dr Merlin Channon, organist at St Peter's Church, Palgrave, is also an entertaining raconteur with a lifetime's worth of interesting anecdotes to tell. Musician, teacher, founder and conductor of ten amateur orchestras and choirs, music researcher, artist, and schools inspector, Merlin has also found time for cricket and has been a member of the MCC since 1962.
