The Palgrave Welfare Trust was formed in 1970 (Charity Reg. No. 257293) from a number of older charities, one of them dating back as afar as 1653.
It continues to offer financial assistance in the form of grants to residents of Palgrave in cases of hardship or difficulty. The Trust can help, for example, with travel expenses for repeated hospital appointments, or frequent visits to someone in hospital or after they have been discharged. It can also make grants for education activities such as school field trips and visits, and various other unforeseen expenses.
If you feel that the Trust could help you, or you know of someone else in need of help, please do not hesitate to approach any of the Trustees. All matters are dealt with in the strictest confidence.
Anyone wishing to apply for assistance should telephone 01379 650622 or e-mail 80goslines@gmail.com or speak to any of the Trustees.
The current Trustees are: Sian Bunbury, Rev. Helen Grover, Michael Lockett, Ian McClintock and Pam Whistlecraft.
